Today, 1 February, Daikin Malaysia has continued its collaboration for the second year as the official Platinum Partner of Selangor Football Club, following the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement document between the two parties this morning.
The document signing ceremony was held at the Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Sungai Buloh and was witnessed by Selangor FC Chairman, His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Toshiharu Tsurumaru. It was also attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Selangor FC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon, and Mr. Lawrence Song, Managing Director of Daikin Malaysia Sales & Service Sdn Bhd.
The sponsorship was renewed this time, with Daikin Malaysia contributing the funds to the Selangor FC squad for their second year as a strategic partner of the club as they compete in the Malaysian League for the 2024 season, which begins in May.
Chief Operating Officer of Daikin Malaysia, Mr. Toshiharu Tsurumaru said, “We at Daikin Malaysia are very happy to embark on this journey together with Selangor FC. Chief Executive Officer of SFC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon is thankful for the continuation of this collaboration and hopes that it can give advantages to both parties.

We at Selangor FC are extremely grateful and proud that Daikin Malaysia wishes to continue sponsoring the team for the 2024 season. This is a significant milestone for the club since we received authorization from an international firm, such as Daikin Malaysia, to be one of the team’s primary sponsors for two years in a row. We will strive to repay the trust given, and we will continue to share expertise with each other to achieve the goals of this cooperation,” he said.
Also expressing his happiness, the Chairman of Selangor FC, His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj had time to share his thoughts immediately after the signing ceremony.
“I am delighted to hear that Daikin Malaysia intends to continue its partnership with Selangor FC in the 2024 season. With that, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Daikin for their willingness to support the team for two consecutive years.
